Welcome to Toi Art – home of the National Art Collection and regularly changing exhibitions. The galleries showcase work by leading artists from around Aotearoa New Zealand and the Pacific. 

There are two levels to explore, with something for everyone. Find out what’s on at the entrance to each level.

On Level 4, see changing art and photography exhibitions, and also spectacular sculptures in the Threshold Gallery.

On Level 5, you’ll find everything from sculpture and paintings to photography, jewellery, ceramics, video works, and tīvaevae (Cook Islands quilts).

Exhibitions change over time – you might see new commissions, recent acquisitions, or historical works.

The current display includes important sculptures and large installations by 20th-century and contemporary Māori artists.
